Too often equipment purchased is not able to be completely integrated into operations because of incompatibility issues and a lack of essential accessories and consumable components. This is especially true when the tender writer lacks the required technical expertise or the bidder is not the primary supplier / manufacturer of some of the equipment.

Those requesting the tender need to ensure the technical specifications are comprehensive, complete and accurate to ensure they receive all of what they require. An inaccurate, incomplete technical specification can have significant detrimental effects on the end-user, resulting in unsafe, inefficient or ineffective procurement, a waste of money and a wasted opportunity.

For those submitting a tender, a poorly constructed, written, incomplete and rushed tender submission will almost certainly eliminate your bid, even if your products or services are superior.

Our Resources

Since 2016, DART SMEs have been engaged supporting Component A of the World Bank funded Bangladesh Urban Resilience Project (BURP), a multi-year, USD 173 dollar project aimed at strengthening the capacity of Government of Bangladesh agencies to respond to emergency events and to strengthen systems to reduce the vulnerability of future building construction to disasters in Dhaka and Sylhet. The primary recipient of Component A activities is the Bangladesh Fire Service and Civil Defence (FSCD).
